Before joining the Amilia team, soccer took a very important place in my life (and still does). I started off as a player, then became a referee, a coach, a trained manager and finally an organizer of sporting events. This sport has been at the center of my daily routine for more than 15 years. Discover how Amilia would of simplify my work when I was involved in the soccer world.
Soccer has quickly won the hearts of millions Canadians. Over the last decades, the number of players has grown steadily, becoming the one of the most popular sport in Canada. Numerous programs have been created to meet the high demand: indoor soccer, futsal, training sessions, technical development centers, etc. This accelerated growth has created some organizational challenges.
A wider range of activities doesn’t necessarily mean you need more administrative tasks and more volunteers. My work as a facility manager enabled me to make the following observations:
- Volunteers are the most valuable resource a non-profit organization can have. Without their involvement many activities would be compromised. However, volunteers want to carry out rewarding tasks, not spend their time pushing paper. Therefore, it is essential to entrust them with responsibilities that go beyond the execution of repetitive administrative chores!
- The fact is, administrative tasks monopolize too much of too many people’s time . When your employees and volunteers compile forms or collect checks, they do not have the time to develop new programs, organize events (tournaments, festivals, etc.), attend training seminars or improve their workout sessions.
Here are 5 reasons why soccer clubs and associations should choose Amilia to simplify their management.
1-Offer online registration and payment
Incomplete forms, bouncing checks and queues during registration days will no longer exist. In addition to allowing online payment, Amilia allows parents to insert a photograph of their child (for the player’s passport) and to send attachments on registration day (affiliation form for the Federation).
2-Ensure players’ safety
Nothing is more important than safety when it comes to sport. Up-to-date and accessible data are essential to ensure the safety of your players! Amilia allows you to easily obtain all the medical information of your players: allergies, asthma, injuries, special conditions, etc. Parents can easily modify information online (change of address or emergency contacts). Should an incident occur, this kind of detail can make all the difference.
3- Facilitate communication with parents
The Amilia Communication module allows you to send e-mails to targeted groups, for example if you need to cancel a training session due to bad weather you can easily send an email to everyone involved all at once. You then get statistics in real time: open rate of emails, emails not delivered, etc. Your players’ parents are always connected to their smartphones, so be sure to maximize communications and avoid unnecessary frustration!
4- Send electronic versions of ALL your documents
Amilia allows the electronic transmission of invoices and tax credits. Forget laborious and expensive mailings. This allows your staff to focus on rewarding tasks.
5- Put up Fundraising Campaigns
Take advantage of the Amilia Fundraising tool to easily collect donations online for tournaments, new equipment, and funds for families in need.
