Biology (ages 13-18)

The first semester of a year-long class.              Carol Halstead              

This Apologia college-preparatory biology course provides a detailed exploration of the intricacies of God's creation from the single cell to the 170-ton blue whale. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking skills as they study cellular biology, genetics, the origin of life, and the multitude of fascinating creatures in our world.  Learning is reinforced through hands-on laboratory experiences including dissections of an earthworm, frog, and other organisms. Homework 3-4 hours per week. 

Students supply Exploring Creation with Biology (2nd edition) and pick up supplies as needed.

Tuition: $190 for 14 weeks

Supply Fee: $25 for students to take turns dissecting specimens. Contact us if the student wishes to order more specimens to dissect.  

Tuesdays, 10am-11:15am, beginning August 31st and ending December 7th. Class will be held on November 23rd.
