Description:
One of the challenges folks sometimes face when creating their paintings is when the reference includes people or animals, when they are not the main subject but are included for interest. Since they can help the viewer be more involved in the scene, this workshop is designed to help you overcome that hesitancy. Depending on your “style,” very little detail may be needed, but such things as scale and placement are still important, especially if you want to introduce people into your picture. After beginning with a variety of practice samples – both simple and more developed – you'll begin a picture of your own choice involving either people or animals, or both. All mediums are welcome. Please bring your own painting materials. Be sure to bring at least a couple of reference photos.
