Description:
Portraits in the Wild is an exciting opportunity to extend and grow your portrait and landscape painting skills. On Saturday, we will work outdoors with a model to set various photo opportunities under natural lighting and do reference drawings of the model and the location, including value and colour studies. A good phone or camera and a simple photo editing program on your home computer are requirements for this activity. On Sunday, students will work in the studio to develop their painting using the reference materials gathered. Some knowledge of working en plein air or from live models is a good starting point.
