Description:

The objective of this workshop is to teach students that art does not always have to be a perfect depiction of something, and that there is beauty and comfort when painting without stress of capturing the "perfect" picture. In this workshop we will be using acrylic paints to paint imperfect faces. These faces can be fun, wearing silly sunglasses, top hats, big beard, long hair etc, and they will be done with one continuous paint stroke, soon producing a community of different faces. Afterwards students would have the option to add more detail and layers to their faces or continue to fill their canvases with different faces. Not only is this workshop intended to get the painters to understand the beauty of unrealistic fun faces, it is also a way to teach students that everyone is unique in their own way just like their collage of painted faces. Just like there is no one right way to paint these faces, theres no one way that you should be as an individual!

The beauty is in how diverse we all are!

This class is intended for any level of artist!
