Winter Humanities "Power and Possibility" LWTA Series | A Talk with Joey Yates from KMAC Museum | March 22 | Noon to 1 pm 

Our Winter 2023 “Power and Possibility” series explores the intersection of art and power, examining how humans use stories, music, and art to interpret our histories, our communities, and ourselves. Humanities subjects to be addressed include history, anthropology, and creative writing.

Our third lunch features Joey Yates, Curatorial Director of KMAC Museum. Yates will delve into his curation process, talk about upcoming exhibits at KMAC and other programs including the annual art and fashion KMAC Couture event. Yates will discuss how he and KMAC utilizes art as a primary tool for bringing people together, showcasing how art has the power to transcend cultural and regional boundaries.

Our Winter 2023 “Power and Possibility” series explores the intersection of art and power, examining how humans use stories, music, and art to interpret our histories, our communities, and ourselves. Humanities subjects to be addressed include history, anthropology, and creative writing.

In our last humanities lunch, Dean Otto, the Curator of Film from the Speed Museum, will explore the power and possibility in film, a medium he uses to build a stronger community. Join us for this film exploration.
