Does your child love to tumble around the house?

Novice teams are performance teams that were created by the USASF to introduce children to the fundamentals of cheerleading.  Brandon All-stars will have multiple Novice Teams for the 2022-2023 season specifically designed for children ages 3 to 8 years.

What will it entail?
The Brandon Novice teams will practice one day each week for an hour.  The children will learn of all the cheerleading basics: jumps, motions, dance, tumbling and stunts.  The teams will participate in 4 competitions during the season.

Will they compete against other teams?
The Tiny Novice teams will be exhibition teams which means they will not compete against other teams.  They will perform their routines at competitions and get comments from the judges.  Teams will be evaluated on a rating system (Outstanding, Excellent, Superior) and not scored against other teams.  The USASF limits the routine to 1:30. There are no building skills permitted in the routine (although they will still learn some building skills at practice).  Tumbling skills are limited to forward rolls and cartwheels (although more advanced tumbling may be worked on at practices).
