Can your SK or grade one name all the pieces and demonstrate how they move? Then they are ready for Rookie Rooks. Here, they will play exciting chess games, learning with their friends how to set up the board, chess rules, and even how to checkmate!

Notes: CIC Live Online Chess Clubs bring a small group of students together for weekly online chess lessons and chess games. CIC Chess to Life Instructors use video conference technology to provide an engaging, interactive learning environment, facilitating insights and building life skills such as decision making, goal setting, emotional intelligence, and respect for others. No physical chess sets are required. Full instructions and links will be sent out to registered students before the class.
Prerequisites: Children are expected to name all the pieces and demonstrate how they move.
