Description:

We will be doing small, 3D still life studies in this class. Individual “stations” will be set up with lighting and backdrop. Anne will go over tools and techniques for this class and will provide demos and step by step instruction.

The basic foundations of creating an oil painting (from small study sketch to completed painting) will be covered.

Notes: Supplies needed: 8 X 10” , 9 x12 or 14 x 18” (no larger) cotton canvas panel boards (for beginners), linen panel boards or stretched canvas for Intermediate and up. Oil colors: (may use more economical brands to begin with). Ivory black, titanium white, yellow ochre,Cad Yellow, lemon yellow, orange, Cad red, Alizarin Crimson, a violet or purple color, Ultramarine blue, Cerulean blue, Sap green, Hookers green, Viridian, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber Oil brushes: (No Artist Loft brands): Rounds sizes. #2, 6, 10, 12, and a 3/4 to 1 inch flat Turpenoid (odorless mineral spirits) Linseed Oil Paper towels or old rags Either a paper palette pad or regular painters palette to mix oil colors on
