In our Friday nature school program we spend the day outdoors adventuring, discovering, creating, and problem-solving, within a caring nature-connected community. We explore 100+ acres of forest, meadows and wetland, diving into fun activities such as tracking animals, building survival shelters, nature arts and crafts, stealth and sensory awareness games, learning about plants for food, medicine, basket-making and other uses, and engaging in imaginative play. Winter offers a new perspective on all the above activities, as it presents new team challenges and opportunities.

With a small child-to-adult mentor ratio (4:1 or 5:1), we work closely with each child to learn their passions and edges, guide them in assessing/managing risk responsibly, and support them in building resilience and other helpful skills for thriving in today's world.

We also encourage stewardship, collaboration, and creative expression through story-telling, music, and journaling, helping children to share their ideas and feelings, and integrate their learning from week to week.

With a wide age range, there are opportunities for older youth to be role models to the younger children and develop more advanced skills while participating in the communal activities. During each class we spend some time altogether as a village and other times in "guilds" that are age-related or interest-related.

Affordability We are committed to making our programs affordable for all, so please contact us if you are in need of a scholarship: info@EarthPath.ca or 613-858-8822 Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel your child's enrolment in the program, we can issue a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee up until 3 weeks before the program start date. Between 3 weeks and 1 week before the program starts, we can issue a 50% refund. Regrettably, cancellations made later than 1 week before the program start date cannot be refunded. However, you may try to find another participant to fill your child's spot. If a program is canceled by Earth Path before the start date, full refunds minus a $25 emergency cancellation fee will be offered. After the program start date, if we cancel any in-person classes due to COVID-19, we will offer a 50% prorated refund per day missed to be assessed and refunded or credited at the end of the fall session. For Nature School programs, we will offer online learning opportunities during any cancellation period.
