Description:

Visit the 70’s through textiles!  Learn about the origins of Macrame and Tie Dye.  From the Middle East to Indonesia and China, batik, tie dye, and hand weaving techniques have been practiced throughout history. In this class we will create some fun projects using ancient techniques by adding a modern twist! We’ll celebrate on the last day with an Asian treat!

Notes: Students will participate in the Arts Alive! Showcase on Saturday, May 16th at Harding Middle School. Art work will be displayed during the event, 9:00am - noon. Please plan to attend with your child. Performance and presentation is an important part of the artistic process. The event is FREE! Look for information from your instructor as the date approaches.
