Students who are enrolled in a session class may use this calendar to manage their class attendance for missed classes and make-up classes, per studio policy.
Additionally, Esh students may purchase drop-ins for classes or sign up for practice time using this calendar.
PLEAD READ THE FOLLOWING POLICIES BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A DROP-IN CLASS OR PRACTICE TIME:
About Drop-in Classes:
Level 101 classes are open to new students for drop-ins during the first two weeks of the session only, from June 21st - July 4th. After this time, only students with prior experience and instructor approval may drop in on Level 101 classes.
All other classes require explicit approval for drop-ins. Esh students are approved to drop in on classes at or below their current class level in each discipline in which they have recently taken classes. Those who are new to Esh but not new to circus arts must contact us to arrange a skill evaluation before attending a leveled class. If a student purchases a drop-in for a class that they are not approved to take and the instructor determines that they cannot safely participate in class, the student will not be allowed to participate and no refund will be granted.
About Practice Time:
Esh students may sign up for Practice Time to come in and practice their skills! (This is self-directed time to practice what you've learned in class; Practice Time is not appropriate for students without circus experience.) During practice time, each student has a dedicated aerial point, Cyr floor, or Wire/Pipe area to themselves for the hour. For aerial students, a member of our admin team will be in touch before your scheduled practice time to find out what apparatus you would like to use during your training. Options for aeriials are: silks, sling, rope, hoop, trapeze (static or single point), and straps. Cyr students may use an Esh wheel or bring their own. Wheels will be cleaned before and after use. If you would like to train any other skill (tumbling, handbalancing, etc), you may sign up for any open Practice Time slot.
You may also sign up for this time if you have your own aerial apparatus. If you are bringing your own apparatus, you must be able to tell us the manufacturer, show proof of the working load limit and breaking strength or load rating safety factor, and the apparatus must pass a visual inspection before being rigged.
STUDIO POLICIES
Beginning with the Summer Session, we have updated our COVID Response Policies. Some policies are included here. Please visit this link to read our full, updated COVID Response Plan: https://www.eshcircusarts.com/covid-response-plan/
- Scheduling & general policies
- All classes must be booked by signing up below. Private lessons may be booked by using the Private Lesson Request Form.
- New students are welcome to sign up for Level 101 classes (note: Straps 101 has prerequisites and is an exception). All other classes are for returning students or those with prior experience at another school or studio. If you are new to Esh but not new to circus and would like to sign up for a class higher than Level 101, please contact us at info@eshcircusarts.com prior to registering.
- Mask policy
- Adult students who show proof of vaccination (full dose plus two weeks) will have the option to go unmasked in aerial and most ground-based classes (partner acrobatics classes might require masks depending on class consensus). Students have the option to upload an image of their vaccination card at the time of registration, or email us a photo of their vaccination card if they prefer.
- Unvaccinated adults, all youth ages 15 and under, and those who do not wish to provide Esh with proof of vaccination must continue wearing masks while training in the studio.
- Masks must be at least two layers and have a good fit. A good fit means that there is no gapping of the mask from your face where your nose meets your cheek, and the mask is held snug against the sides of your face and under your chin. Both your mouth and nose should be covered at all times while in the studio (unless drinking water as needed, away from other students).
- Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a mask will be welcome to do so.
- What to bring & What to wear
- Procedures to maintain physical distancing
- Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of your class time or training time. Upon arrival, students should store their belongings in the lobby and then enter the main studio, rather than waiting in the lobby for class to begin.
- For now, studio capacity during adult classes will be capped around 20 students.
- Some coaches may choose to offer students hands-on spotting to assist with certain skills; other coaches may not offer spotting. As always, coaches will ask for consent before touching or spotting a student, and students may always refuse. We value our strong consent culture at Esh!
- Cancellation Policy:
- If a student needs to cancel a drop-in class reservation or point/space rental, they will receive an account credit if they contact Esh at least 24 hours in advance via email to info@eshcircusarts.com. No refunds will be issued. Students enrolled in session classes should manage their class reservations per studio policy.
- With less that 24 hours notice, no refunds or credits will be granted.
- This cancellation policy is firm and no exceptions will be granted. Our goal in creating these policies is to balance the need to protect very limited income streams for our staff and studio with our students' need for flexibility in their schedules. If you have questions about these policies, please reach out to us at info@eshcircusarts.com.
