Become a citizen scientist and join our bat research project with Texas Christian University and Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District. We walk for one hour along a designated route collecting data with hand-held detectors that make bat calls audible to human ears. The research is fun and valuable too – bats are natural pest controllers and eat tons of mosquitos. Families are welcome but no strollers or pets please. All training is provided.

We gather at sunset near the Parr Park Pavilion. The time changes throughout the season so please disregard the time posted on the registration.

Available: 15/15

Price: $0.00 Taxes waived

Notes: We ask that you do not bring any pets or strollers, as this will cause interference with our research. Please contact Betsy Marsh at bmarsh@grapevinetexas.gov for any questions.
