モントリオール日本語センターは、1976年、継承語としての日本語教育を通して、子供達に日本人としてのアイデンティティーを残したいと切望する有志によって創立された非営利日本語教育機関です。

３歳からの幼児教育に始まり、年齢に応じてひらがな・カタカナ・漢字の読み書きはもちろん、工作や折り紙、書道など様々な活動を通して、日本文化と日本語を体験学習しながら、生徒達の会話力や生活をより豊かにすることに重点を置き、講師、父兄、子供達、そしてモントリオール在住の日本人と現地カナダ人の協力の下に、明るく楽しい環境作りを目指しています。 また、今まで日本語に触れる機会が少なかった日系人や非日系父兄のための成人クラスも併設しています。 第二言語としての日本語教育を目的とする幼児・児童クラスは、今現在では行っておりません。 History of our center The center is a non-profit and volunteer-based organization. Started in 1976 by Japanese parents who wished to foster the adoption of the Japanese language and integration of the Japanese identity in their children. Still today, our programs and activities keep on carrying the same goal: to help those children improve their primary language. Thanks to the popularity of our school, we can now offer classes geared toward teenagers and adults (over 16 years), wishing to learn Japanese as a second language. We are currently not offering classes for children under 16 years old whose primary language is not Japanese.
