Description:

Join us for our Wandering School scheduled to start the week of April 25th!  These outdoor sessions will be held at different local parks and places each week, with curated activities based on the environment and landforms in each location.  

In this series, students will explore Earth Science topics including the rock cycle, landforms, meteorology, and oceanography.  We are also pleased to partner with the Nanaimo Museum for a special session to explore the history of coal mining in Nanaimo. 

All sessions will include key content tied to the BC Science Curriculum.

Price: $135.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 5 - 8 on the day of the activity

Notes: This is a drop-off program that will run rain or shine. In case of extreme weather, we will contact families and do our best to reschedule sessions. Parents are welcome to stay on site if they wish to. No transportation is provided for these events. If you are planning to use allotment money to pay for this program, please select the offline payment option at checkout. Please be aware that Nanaimo Science will only issue refunds for withdrawals requested 2 weeks prior to the program start date. There is no fee for parents to attend the Nanaimo Museum together with their child, however, additional non-student children will need to pay a separate admission - please contact us to make arrangements for this.
