SASKATCHEWAN VIRTUAL TRAVEL CLUB

STUDENTS AGES 7 - 12

Become a member and explore the Engineering of Travel, with us!  Every week, for 5 weeks, Travel Club members will particiipate in ~1 hour of hands-on projects (guided by video & worksheets) and then join together with fellow Travel Club Members and EFK Instructors for a weekly, live, zoom interactive Club meeting!  Engineering for Kids makes learning fun!

What is included? 

• 5 Videos, with hands-on projects - each exploring a unique travel mode & related engineering principles
• Over 40 pages of custom STEM worksheets, to enhance your travel experience and reinforce STEM concepts
• Project Supply Kit: the majority of project supplies are household items; however, a few uncommon supplies will be mailed to all registrants
• Weekly zoom check-in with other EFK Travel Club members in Saskatchewan

How Does it Work? 

• Register to become an EFK Travel Club Member
• Engineering for Kids of North Saskatchewan will send you a confirmation email with links to the first video and printable downloadable sheets to guide you through the first week of travel!
• Open the videos, print the sheets, and begin your virtual STEM vacation! Plan for a full hour or longer to complete all activities!
• Attend the optional weekly zoom check-in with other EFK Travel Club members in Saskatchewan for some virtual social interaction in a safe space.

Travel Club Members will:

• Construct a bridge, to cross a Saskatchewan river and start your journey
• Create a rubber-band car, to make some distance on land
• Design a buoyant boat and a sailboat, to sail the seas
• Model an aerodynamic airplane, to fly the skies
• Build solid landing gear/land rover, for a safe landing

TRAVEL CLUB MEMBERS WILL CONNECT TO MATH, SCIENCE, READING, AND FRIENDS!

Price: $49.99 Taxes not included

Notes: Students can participate in the videos and projects on their own time, on their own schedule. Videos can be paused, while students complete challenges and explore ideas. This is a FLEX program, giving your family flexibility!

Prerequisites: Students will require a device such as computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone and internet connection.
