Description:
Senior 11-14 Football offers experienced and new players a chance to develop and play in a fun, safe and non-contact environment. Staff coaches begin with a short practice before playing a game where everyone gets a chance to catch and run the ball. Throughout the season, football players will be taught the fundamentals of throwing, receiving, rushing, and defense as they rotate between offense and defense. Our focus is on the basics of the game, and more advanced routes and defensive strategies. From the two week skills practice to the draft, we make the football players feel like they’re in the pros! Staff coaches play quarterback to ensure equal playing time and ensure all players have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their abilities. A second coach runs the defense offering encouragement and instruction from the field. Our games are high energy, with lots of touchdowns, and a perennial parent favourite! ** Outdoor cleats are recommended. Football gloves are allowed, but not required. ** Season will start with two weeks of practice (Jan 24 & Jan 31) at either 5:30-6:30pm OR 6:30-7:30pm (we will advise you what time to come the day before). Then teams are sorted and each week game times revolve between 5:15pm, 6:10pm, or 7:05pm.
