Description:
u6 is a high-energy house league for players of any ability that teaches individual soccer skills with particular emphasis on player positioning and game strategy. The weekly program includes a structured practice followed by a game. Teams include a mix of boys and girls who work with a staff coach throughout the season culminating in a fun championship final. We use a 4v4 (no goalie) format to maximize ball touches and ensure games are always competitive and exciting. The energy level is infectious and guaranteed to put a smile on every face! Jersey, shorts and socks are included and will be distributed at the field prior to first class. Program uses City of Hamilton maintained grass soccer fields at William Schwenger Park beside STM. Porta-potties are available onsite. Shin guards are mandatory & outdoor soccer cleats are recommended. Jewellery must be removed or taped and glasses must be securely held with a strap. Players should bring water bottles and parents are encouraged to bring camp chairs to cheer from the sidelines. Drills and games will be modified to follow all applicable COVID guidelines.

Notes: Soccer operates rain or shine (program will be cancelled if City closes fields or if thunder & lightning develops during session). Program will be modified to adhere to COVID guidelines in place at time of program delivery.
Prerequisites: Active children with supportive family on the sidelines.
