Description:

Rally Cap introduces baseball to children aged four and five and advances the player’s prior knowledge and skills. During the weekly 60min sessions, our experienced coaches develop fundamental motor skills, teach baseball skills, and basic rules following Baseball Canada development guidelines.

Using a combination of skills sessions and games we teach and develop baseball fundamentals with a focus on throwing, receiving, hitting and base running. Drills and games are specially designed to teach the basics while keeping the players engaged and having fun. This popular program builds skills while instilling a love of the game. Some parental assistance may be requested.

Rally Cap is a Binbrook Minor Baseball Association subsidized program and delivered by Soccer World | Batter Zone coaches. Program runs at Woodburn Ball Park which is a City of Hamilton facility and has washrooms and onsite parking.

Summer schedule will include a combination of both 5:30pm and 6:30pm sessions. Jersey is included and will be distributed at the park on the first day.

Baseball players should bring water bottles, baseball glove & batting helmet (with chin strap). Parents should wear athletic footwear and bring camp chairs.

Team size is limited and programs will be modified to follow all applicable COVID guidelines. The same parent/caregiver is encouraged to attend all sessions.

Notes: Baseball operates rain or shine (program will be cancelled if City closes diamonds or if thunder & lightning develops during session). Program will be modified to adhere to COVID guidelines in place at time of program delivery.

Prerequisites: Active children with an adult caregiver close at hand to assist as required.
