Description:
Nature Camp offers a hands-on full day outdoor program for inquisitive 4-12yrs children. Campers will spend the days outside connecting with nature. Each day will be a new adventure exploring our beautiful urban wilderness and building an appreciation for the natural world. Trail walks and time at the stream will provide a chance to learn about local plants, water life and animals. Campers will be encouraged to observe their surroundings using all of their senses. Each day includes some unstructured play-time and investigation, as well as group games to encourage cooperation and build friendships. Activities include exploration in the ravine, tie dye t-shirts, scavenger hunts, bouldering (rock climbing), low ropes, panning for gems, nature-themed crafts, water games and more. Senior campers will be introduced to basic survival skills which will include learning different ways to build a fire, building and camouflaging a shelter, and identifying poisonous plants. Our experienced and caring coaches will ensure your child is active, engaged and inspired by the outdoors! If bad weather sends us indoors we use turf fields and a large lobby & restaurant area providing plenty of space for lunch/snacks, games, crafts, bouncy castles and movies. Drop-off is between 8:30am-9pm with structured camp running from 9am-3:45pm. Pick-up is from 3:45pm-4pm with extended care options (8am-6pm) available.

Notes: Camp is outside and each day we spend time in the ravine and at the stream. Campers should apply sunscreen prior to arrival and be prepared for all types of weather. Campers should wear running shoes and bring water shoes or boots, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, lunch & refillable water bottle in a backpack. Medications/epi-pens packed separately in a zip lock bag. No electronics, toys or money (no vending machine access during camp hours). *** CANCELLATION POLICY *** - Cancellation 2+ weeks prior is refundable less $50 per camper. - Cancellation 0-14 days prior is credit less $50 per camper. - Cancellation once camp has started is non-refundable.
