Description: Parents and little ones are invited to spend one morning a week in the GOS cedar grove - being a part of the woods and practicing core routines of nature connection. Songs, games, stories, and nature based challenges are part of the adventure. Activities are set up for the kids to make room for parent talking circles on topics near and dear to our hearts as parents working towards nature connected families and communities. Engage the practice of mentoring young children in nature, and lay foundations for a healthy, happy, nature connected child and family. Activities kids Include: wildlife tracking, nature craft, feeding chickadees, visiting the river, wandering and exploring, shelter building, recognizing wild edibles, medicinal and hazardous plants Parent discussions centre around: options in education, community building, parenting stories, art of questioning and other mentoring techniques, decolonization, community service, rites of passage and child development, stewardship, story telling and music.

Notes: This session is by donation. Please consider bringing a donation of approximately $10 to any sessions you attend to help us cover costs of materials. This is a drop-in program so no commitment is necessary. Come out when you can! Hope to see you out there.
