Description: Goslings is about getting nature connected from a young age. This means kids who are calmer, more aware, & compassionate, This is about laying the groundwork for a person who is resilient and comfortable in the natural world, and in their own skin, for life. What you and your child can expect A thrilling, nurturing, and magical atmosphere at our Cooks Mill location. Responsible, nurturing adults supporting groups limited in size to 14 kids. As with all GOS programs, Goslings engages the core routines connection, by providing regular nature immersion & responsive mentorship. Sessions are filled exploring and tracking, mapping, self-sufficiency skills and nature craft. In recognition of this younger age, Goslings instructors emphasize the sense of wonder and mystery in the natural world through exploration, free-play, and lots of songs and story. Spring Trimester is all about tuning into the first signs of life through the snow, tracking the mammals that are just waking up, awareness of hazards especially around the newly thawed and swollen river. We tell stories about the return of the birds, listen for the first calls of the red-winged black bird, newly arrived in the wetlands. We’re wondering about what baby creatures are born in the spring, and checking for sign. We are dreaming about our summer and setting intentions. We’re watching for colt’s foot flowers, the first to pop up through the snow.
