Ever wondered what plants live in your neighbourhood and local parks? How do you know which ones are invasive? After learning some basic plant identification skills, discover some of the priority invasive species in the region. Access resources and learn what can be done about even the most harmful alien invaders.

Tasha Murray is the Executive Director of the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver. She has been involved in conservation in the Pacific Northwest for over twenty years, working with land managers, professionals, volunteers and the public on invasive species projects. She lives with her family on a small farm in Burnaby with a large garden, chickens and plenty of invasive plants to tackle.

This course will take place online. A recording will be available for a limited time to participants. Pre-registration required.

Notes: Online course log-in details will be sent 24 hours before the course date. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
