Description:

Learn the basics of plant identification by learning about plant morphology and taxonomy. This online presentation by botanist Latifa Pelletier-Ahmed will build an understanding of plant structural variations in leaves, stems, roots, and flowers. An introduction to plant taxonomy will cover key classification categories including plant families and will emphasize pattern recognition skills. A Garden map will be provided to guide you to find highlighted plants in VanDusen Botanical Garden at your leisure (admission sold separately).

This class is being hosted live ONLINE only. It will not be recorded, and will only be available to stream on zoom at the scheduled time. Pre-registration required. If you have unused Education Credits, you can use them to pay for this course!
