Description:
Learn about the fascinating lifestyles and life cycles of bees that nest in holes in wood and plant stems: leafcutter bees, mason bees and resin bees. Find out how you can support these bees in your garden. This session will be presented by Lori Weidenhammer, a Vancouver performance-based interdisciplinary artist and educator. She is originally from a tiny hamlet called Cactus Lake, Saskatchewan. It is in this place, bordered by wheat fields and wild prairie, that she first became enchanted with bees. She is the author of a book called Victory Gardens for Bees: A DIY Guide to Saving the Bees. This course will take place online, and recordings will be available for a limited time to participants. Pre-registration required.
