Many people fear wasps, yet we would not have a sustainable future without them. Wasps have incredible diversity, even greater than bees, and perform many vital roles in a healthy and dynamic environment that most people are unaware of. Explore the diverse ecology, and invaluable contribution wasps make to pest control and pollination with local expert Brian Campbell. See their nests, learn how to identify these extraordinary creatures, and maybe even learn to love them. This session includes the dissection of a wasp's nest as an activity. Notes: Presented on Sept 17, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
