Join Jenna Jaski for an introduction to the basics of veggie gardening. No experience necessary! You will learn about how to plan your veggie garden, sow seeds, plant seedlings, thin your sprouts, provide care throughout the season, manage the most common pests, and tips for harvesting. You will leave this course with the confidence and enthusiasm to get growing! Instructor’s Bio Jenna Jaski (she/her) joined Victory Gardens as a volunteer in 2014, before becoming a team member in 2016 and a co-owner in 2018. She has a BSc in Environmental Science from Simon Fraser University. Jenna brings her passion for nature and learning to her role as a garden coach, as well as The Classroom Gardener program coordinator and lead facilitator. Working with students, teachers, and workshop participants, Jenna is a beloved facilitator who is perfectly suited to share her knowledge and skills to support novice and experienced gardeners across the region. Notes: Please note that registration will close at 4:00 p.m. PT, one business day before the event. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
