Montreal West Sports and Recreation Center: Help build a strong and active community

Help us build a single, modern Sports and Recreation Center where citizens of all ages can engage in meaningful, accessible sport and recreation activities that foster individual and community wellbeing, in a sustainable approach.

The existing aging facilities require colossal and costly upgrades and are unable to meet the modern-day expectations of users and limit the Town in its ability to maintain and improve quality of life in the community. 

The project consists of the reconstruction of the Sports and Recreation Center at 220 Bedbrook, including the demolition of the existing obsolete infrastructure, namely the Legion Memorial Rink, the adjoining outdoor swimming pool and the North Chalet. This project has not only become necessary to modernize our sports and community facilities, but it has been requested for several years by a large number of organizations in our community.

The new Sports and Recreation Center will include something for everyone. The current plans include the following :

• Regulation sized-rink 
• Gymnasium 
• 25-meter outdoor "L-shaped" swimming pool with separate deep end
• Kiddie pool
• Multipurpose rooms
• 6 locker rooms for players including 2 universally accessible rooms
• Referee locker room
• Pro shop
• Café-restaurant
• Offices
• Kitchen facilities

We always welcome large donations but even the smallest donation will help us move towards our goal of building the new center.

Donations by cheque or cash may be made at Town Hall or the Community Center. Tax receipts will be issued annually for all donations over $20.
