Please note the following guidelines regarding all classes:

1. We request that students carefully observe the WDC class dress code. Students not adhering to the dress code may be asked not to participate in class. Jewelry, such as dangling earrings, necklaces and bracelets are not permitted in class.

2. Please make every effort to attend class. Regular attendance is necessary in order for any student to achieve maximum success. There will be no refunds for missed classes, however missed classes can be made up, providing there is another similar/suitable class in the regular schedule.

3. Any student arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted to class. If a late arrival cannot be avoided please inform the Wonderland staff via email or phone.

4. All students are encouraged not to leave the room once class has begun. Please allow for appropriate restroom use prior to class. Very young children will be treated sensitively as the need arises.

5. Preschool children may need a parent’s attention from time to time for various reasons including bathroom or behavior issues. Please do not leave the waiting room when very young children are in class without informing the office or having another parent responsible during your absence. We make every effort to have all children feel safe and cared for in a loving and inspiring learning environment.

6. School age children and teens: please practice respect. Students are not to be socializing in a disruptive manner during the class with other students. Please honor your teacher and fellow students by giving your full attention and co-operation. You will be advised if we feel any student is not well adjusted to the classroom environment for any reason over time. There is ZERO-TOLERANCE BULLYING POLICY in effect at WDC.

7. Food and drinks are not permitted inside the studio class rooms, water bottles with a tight fitting lid are permitted. Students may eat in the common area and lobby provided they clean/pick up after themselves. Please note: Wonderland Dance Company is a nut free facility.

8. During class if a student complains of being ill, or sustains an injury and cannot participate, a faculty member will send them to the front desk where the parents will be notified if not on the premises.

9. Only students with a pre-existing sickness/injury are allowed to observe class. The parents must notify the front desk if a student is to observe class.

10. Parents and guests may only view class during appointed viewing time or with faculty member permission.

11. In cases where classes must be cancelled due to inclement weather, students/parents will be notified via the Wonderland Dance Company website www.wonderlanddance.ca. All updates will be posted after 3pm. * No refunds on classes cancelled due to bad weather/natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances.

No refunds on classes cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances (weather, building emergency, natural disasters etc)
25% refund on balance of paid full tuition
No refunds on costume deposits.
No refunds on registration fee

COVID-19 Participation Agreement:

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, provincial, and local governments and health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

In the event that services be cancelled due to governments shutdown, Wonderland Dance Company will provide the best possible online services they can provide for up to 30 days. Should the lockdown continue past 30 days, missed classes will be rolled over and added to the end of the dance term. Eligible participants may receive a refund of up to 25% of the balance of tuition paid. Eligibility is subject to Director discretion.

Wonderland Dance Company is not responsible for any injury/illness (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death) of any kind, that may be experienced in connection with participation in WDC programming.

Participation Agreement:

Dance classes may include, without limitation, dancing with props, stretching, barre work, across the floor combinations, dance routines in the center, and other related activities.

All of the activities of the dance class involve some degree of risk of strain or bodily injury.

Wonderland Dance Company is not responsible for the following:

Loss or damage to personal property
Personal injury or bodily harm sustained on the premises.

Wonderland Dance Company has the right to make changes to the schedule and/or faculty as the organization sees fit.
