Explore pottery with our beginner and intermediate classes in this 3-week pottery class. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining your skills, our experienced instructor will guide you through the process. Beginners will focus on mastering the basics, such as balancing and centering clay on the wheel, while intermediate artists will advance their techniques in trimming and constructing clay into functional pieces. Join us in a supportive and creative environment where you can develop your pottery skills. On the last day of class, pieces can be dipped and kiln-fired.

Intermediate Potters: Registration fee includes one 25-pound bag of clay, glaze, and firing. 

Beginners: Registration fee includes clay based on projects with the instructor, glaze, and firing. 

Additional clay is available for purchase.

For all programming, our new policy in regards to refunds is the following: With a doctor’s note, we will provide a full credit for classes that are missed. If your child misses one class in a multi-week class, we are unable to provide a credit for that class. Another option for you is to donate your class credit to our scholarship fund for children’s programming. We are unable to provide cash or credit card refunds. Thank you for understanding. Scholarships for Art Center of the Bluegrass classes are awarded based on demonstrated financial need, availability of funds, and space in the requested class.
