Description

The Burns Lake Snowmobile Club was established in 1999 and has an average of 40 members. Their main riding areas are the Telkwa Range, Sibola’s and Ailport. Ailport is popular for family rides and for days when the weather is not so great as it is deep snow, open meadows and trails. The Club hosts an annual snow drag competition called Cold Smoke Drags. They are now being held on the new property purchased by the club and have a groomed track, professional lights, and bleachers. Burns Lake is a paradise for the enthusiast snowmobiler. Try the marked trails or experience the mountain ranges. To find the marked trails, this begins at the snowmobile drag race site and roams for 34 km in a northeasterly direction by Nellian Lake and ends at the Upper Pinkut connector. A 13 km temporary marked trail continues on connecting to Ailport and the Thousand Islands riding areas. These trails and riding areas are family friendly and are great for all riding abilities.
