Cygnus Strong in Memory of Travis Wheaton

Travis Wheaton was a former member of Team Cygnus. At the request of Travis' family, we have set up a fund in his memory. 

Travis was a member of Cygnus for many years and was an accomplished gymnast competing for both Cygnus and Team NL.  His coach, Jill Hood, had these words to share:

“I had the honor of being Travis’ coach, and I will always remember and cherish the memories of the time I spent with him. He was one of the most easy-going, kind-hearted and genuinely good kids I have had the pleasure of working with. Travis always worked hard when he needed to work hard, and made us all laugh when we needed to laugh. Travis made such a huge impact on every single person he met at Cygnus. All of his coaches would agree that if we could, we would like to coach a whole group of Travis’s. He always came in with a smile on his face, and trained with such an easy-going yet hard working demeanour. This not only made him such an incredible young person, but brought out the best in everyone he trained with. As a child, Travis was humble in success and gracious in defeat, a trait that is so rare in adults, let alone someone his age. Travis embodied the spirit of Cygnus Gymnastics in every way.”
