CPO Certification

For individuals working in or around recreational water, the Certified Pool & Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification provides the knowledge, techniques, and skills for pool and spa operations. CPO Certification is the world's leading verifiable pool and spa training credential, sought after for its unmatched results. Whether for compliance or professional development, more pool professionals have chosen CPO® Certification than any other program world-wide. Conveniently available in person or online, the NSPF® Certified Pool & Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification program is also eligible for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CPO® Certification is valid for five years.

The CPO® Certification program at TAC is a blended format that combines the online Pool Operator Primer™ and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion™ in-person class of instruction. An open book written examination is required.  Both the on-line Pool Operator Primer and the in-person class takes between 6-8 hours each to complete.
