Come discover the regenerative power of body and mind in nature with Kristine Koster, certified Forest Therapy Guide. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-Yoku, forest therapy is the eco-antidote to modern-day stress. Kristine will lead you through a variety of gentle activities in the Garden, all designed to promote relaxation, wellness, and connection.

Learn how the practice of forest therapy boosts immune systems and supports healing. The walk concludes by sharing wildcrafted tea and treats in the Garden.

Instructor's Biography

Kristine is a sustainability specialist whose work focuses on protecting and restoring riparian habitats. Kristine’s education, life, and professional experience have intertwined to cultivate a deep understanding that we are all interconnected and interdependent with nature. This set her on a path to become a certified Forest Therapy Guide and create Our Wilderness Within – an organization dedicated to connecting people to the regenerative power of nature.

Meet at the Visitor Centre and enter the Garden as a group.

The entire class is spent outdoors, rain or shine. Online pre-registration is required.

Notes : Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued. Please notify us of your cancellation in writing to learn@vandusen.org
