This is an easy-going, early learning program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers. This program provides participants and their caregivers the opportunity to gather together in the Library (or in the courtyard outside when the weather permits), to engage with nature-themed children’s books, and to explore seasonal topics with age-appropriate activities.

* Older/younger siblings can be accommodated; however, the program is designed for early learners. Please send a message to library@vandusen.org if you would like to bring along younger children, or check out our website for our many garden programs aimed at older ages.

PLEASE NOTE: When signing up, make sure to register ALL members of your group (ie. ALL adults and ALL children who will attend).

The theme for January is: Cedar's Many Uses

This month Geronimo Alec, VanDusen's Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator, will join our team to share songs an stories about how Indigenous people continue to use  plants such as cedar. We will conclude with a fun art project to take home.
