Watercolour Poetry! Susan suggests that participants bring the following materials: Paper - Arches 140lb-300lb. cold press watercolour paper, 9” x 12” or larger. Watercolour Paints - Holbein brand: Red (Carmine), Yellow (New Gamboge), Blue (Peacock blue). Can add Olive Green, Opera (hot pink), and Payne’s grey. Detailed Brushes – size 01 for fine detail. A good array of brushes includes sizes 04, 1, 4, and 6. Mixing Palette - plastic or white ceramic surface Sketching – 2b mechanical pencil and white eraser Water – 2 mason jars or 2 yogurt containers Blow Dryer – nice to have for drying paint layers quickly Online pre-registration is required. Winter is coming to an end soon, and it is time to paint images of new growth in the garden with artist and illustrator Susan Pearson. This 6-week series of demonstrations of mixing colour for our Palette emulate the tones and values we see around us. Snowdrops, branches, winter skies and landscapes. From wet into wet impressions to realistic details, Susan will share her knowledge of techniques through exciting exercises and painting projects. All levels are welcome!

Notes : Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
