If you ever wondered what VanDusen’s Medicine Wheel Ceremony is about but never made it to an in-person celebration, this is your opportunity to participate in an online ceremony through Zoom! The Medicine Wheel is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. Come join elders Phil L’Hirondelle (Cree) and Gisele L’Hirondelle (Mi’kmaq ancestry) and others of varying backgrounds and spiritual traditions to celebrate the Winter Solstice and to usher in the new season. Teaching, drumming, singing and prayers will be shared. Please have a stone in your hands to focus the energy and your prayers. This (Zoom) ceremony is free of charge to attend, but a donation towards the Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association would be appreciated.
