What makes a great portrait? Learn how to create meaningful, compelling portraits that represent your subject’s personality in this one-day workshop. Explore natural and studio lighting set-ups, composition, styling, and posing to create mood and atmosphere. Students will practice with individual and cooperative projects, taking candid and staged portraits.

Participants bring and use their own digital cameras (DSLR or rangefinder). A camera manual, tripod and laptop are useful, but not required.
