Description:

We hold onto clothing from people we love. These textiles can be used to create a stuffed animal. Students will work from commercial patterns under the supervision of an instructor with more than 35 years’ experience.

Participants will supply their own textiles be it Dad’s plaid flannel shirt, grandpa’s wool coat or grandma’s tablecloth to create a stuffed animal. All other materials are provided. Due to potential allergies, fake or real fur pieces will not be permitted for use.

Students interested in learning on their own machine are encouraged to bring it. Machines can be stored on site between classes.

Prerequisites: Participants must be able to run a sewing machine and should know basic stitching techniques.
