Description:

Learn how to strum, pluck, and play your favorite songs on the guitar. Our friendly instructors will teach you all the basics, from tuning your guitar to playing simple melodies. Get ready to make music and have a blast with new friends in our beginner-friendly classes! 

Materials Needed: Student should bring their own Guitar to class. We have rentals available. Please reach out in advance if a rental is needed. Practice between classes is expected for this class. Musicians will receive a practice binder. 

Performance opportunity may be offered through the studio.

-- Mr. Dylan is a professional drummer who has been honored as one of San Diego’s top 10 drummers and just returned from a European tour with his band! Dylan’s talent and passion for music are topped only by his skill in making tough concepts make sense for his students. You can catch him gigging around Southern CA regularly and working in and out of the recording studio with crazy amazing bands. In his free time, you’re most likely to find him working on new drum fills or guitar riffs while binging Law & Order.

Prerequisites: Mandatory membership(s) $74 per student: HEC Membership 2024/2025 School Year PAYMENT FOR THE CLASS GETS PAID DIRECTLY TO THE VENDOR. PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE PAID IMMEDIATELY. This is a full year course, but paid & registered in 2 semesters. If it is core, you would need to take both semesters to meet the full course curriculum. If it is an enrichment class, it will be new information taught in the 2nd semester PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: - A $50 non-refundable deposit (which is part of the class fee) needs to be received within 24 hours. If payment is not received your child will be dropped. There are no exceptions. OR - Charter payment of Enrichment Certificate or Purchase Order MUST be received within 5 business days, your child will be dropped. There are no exceptions. - If you do not have access to charter funds yet, you will need to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit WHICH WILL HOLD YOUR CHILD'S SPOT IN EACH CLASS OR do not register until you have access to your funds & the vendor can receive the payment within 5 business days. - Check with your charter on their policies. Check with your charter on when they will release funds to be used for SERVICES. All charters work differently. - FULL PAYMENT or an PURCHASE ORDER OR ENRICHMENT CERTIFICATE from your charter must be received before a student can start classes. Do NOT ask if they can attend without full payment. No exceptions. - Full payment or Full charter enrichment certificate is due 1 week before classes. If you register after that, then full payment or charter enrichment certificate is due BEFORE starting class. Students may NOT start class without full payment. No Exceptions! **Out of Pocket: Cash or Venmo: HEC Vendors do not accept payments marked, "Turn on for purchases." If paying through Venmo, please make sure this is not turned on. If marked, "Turn on for purchases," you will be refunded, minus Venmo's payment fees, and you will be asked to re-submit payment for the full amount of the class. OVERPAYMENT REIMBURSEMENT POLICIES: - If payments for Services results in a Vendor receiving an overpayment, reimbursements of overpayments may be requested after overpayment occurs. Overpayments must be requested by the student’s family and will be reimbursed in the same manner they were paid. Overpayment reimbursements should be processed after the Vendor has received full payment from the Charter. If payment was received from a charter school, the reimbursement of the overpayment does not occur until actual payment is received by the Vendor. An enrichment certificate or purchase order does not qualify as payment for Services. Full payments from charters depend on each charter. Some Charters (after invoicing) will pay for the full amount within 30 days of services started and some will pay within 30 days after services have ended. HEC or the Vendor are not responsible for any reimbursements/refunds of any payments submitted, received or paid contrary to Student’s charter school policies. Please be aware of Student’s charter school policies.
