Marine Basic First Aid is a blended online / one day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the recreational boaters, skippers, crew and the marine/fishing industry. For anyone responding to injuries and illness within the marine environment. Every recreational boater should know the basics for self-preservation at sea, including how to prevent injury and illness and what to do in the event of a mishap on board. 

This course provides the certification for Red Cross Standard First Aid (3-years) & CPR as well as the Transport Canada Certificate (5-years)

This course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008.

For the blended course format, students will complete the first day's training online (theory only) at their convenience (total 6-hrs) prior to a one day, in-person session for practical instruction.

Re-certification is not permitted in this course. Anyone wishing to re-certify Red Cross Standard First Aid – please see our re-certification course.

Notes: HBSC Cancelation and Refund Policy For classroom courses, one date change will be allowed within the same season, up to 14 days prior to the course start date free of charge. Re-booking based on course availability. For cancellations more than 30 days prior to the start of a classroom course, fees will be refunded, less 15% cancellation fee and the price of any distributed course materials. (ie: Text books)For cancellations 10-30 days prior to the course start date, 25% of the course fee will be retained plus the price of any distributed course materials. For cancellation within 10 days of the course start date or after the course has started, there will be no refunds.
