Candidates who successfully complete this course will be able to certify candidates at the Intermediate Cruising level. This course, open to Basic Cruising Instructors, focuses on the classroom and on water delivery and evaluation of boat systems knowledge and sailboat handling skills needed to operate a vessel in a near-coastal environment.

Notes: This course consists of 2 - 4 pre-clinic Zoom sessions along with the 1 weekend of in-person attendance. This course requires a 2 part registration and fee payment. $150 + HST to Ontario Sailing to first register with them, then $975 + HST to Humber Bay Sailing.

Prerequisites: - Be age 19 or older: - Be currently registered as a Sail Canada Basic Cruising Instructor; - Have at least one season and a minimum of 150 hours logged as a Sail Canada Basic Cruising Instructor; - Have the Sail Canada Advanced Cruising Student Standard; - Have logged cruising time of 17 days as a skipper, minimum 3 days at a time; - Demonstrate characteristics and motivations worthy of being at Sail Canada LTC/P Instructor; - Demonstrate a willingness to support the goals of the Sail Canada LTC/P program.
