Description:

Ports Toronto requires that anyone operating a powered vessel within the boundaries of Toronto Harbour possess a Powered Vessel Operators Permit (PVOP). This was previously known as the Toronto Harbour Licence.

The PVOP requires the student write a short exam and demonstrate practical boat handling skills.

Students receive a short presenation on the materals for the written exam followed by an on-water test.  Students will demonstrate simple on the water boat handling skills aboard a small powerboat.

Notes: Materials will be sent out in advance of the course. Students may arrive 30 minutes early to practice on the small motor boat.
