About Mud Club :
Mud Club provides a supportive, nurturing environment in which each child is valued as their true unique self. We have a child-led emergent curriculum with a whole child approach. While our main focus is on social and emotional development, which we nurture during mostly free play time, we also provide more structured learning activities that are chosen based on careful observation of the childrens' interests and the natural world around us. These more adult directed activities are always optional and at each child's discretion if they are interested, these include story time, sensory bins, process oriented art projects, nature learning activities, academic learning prompts, and more.
Our morning is spent outside as much as possible, but we also have an indoor space prepared in case the weather is dangerous or uncomfortable. Our outdoor space includes access to a large yard with beautiful trees that provide shade when it is warm, leaves to play with in the fall, and large branches to swing from. We have access to a creek where we feed ducks, create mud cakes, splash till our heart's content, and explore the natural changes throughout the seasons. We are located across the street from the library, near the rail trail, close to a few hiking trails, across the creek from Earl's bike shop where we visit goats and chickens, and within walking distance to a few other natural areas that we access regularly. We also provide plenty of loose parts, age appropriate learning materials and tons of art materials that will capture the interest of the children in our care.
