Description:
In this 45-minute class, students will learn how to create music by themselves and in a group using the ukulele. Along the way, students will learn to utilize basic musical elements such as rhythm, pitch, harmony, and dynamics, and how to apply those elements on the ukulele through techniques such as strumming, basic chords, and melodic transcription. Through a combination of composition, arranging, improvising, and performing, students will gain a basic vocabulary on the instrument and learn to contextualize and interpret the music works around them!
