Date de début : mardi, 7 mai 2024.

Horaire :

 Le 7 mai 2024, de 10:00 à 11:50

 Surrey Campus

Lieu : Surrey Campus | 12666 72 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3W 2M8

Description :

A great way to understand the Restorative process is to look at it through the lens of the 5 Rs: Relationship, Respect, Responsibility, Repair, and Reintegration back into the community as a productive citizen – a citizen who gives back rather than one who takes.

Pamela Ackerman will guide you through the process of the 5 Rs and how it can build community rather than tear it down. You will learn the process of a Restorative Justice Circle or Conference in its entirety from one who has facilitated Restorative Justice Conferences for ten years in the youth justice system. Time will be set aside for questions and answers. Be sure to bring an open mind, a warm heart and curiosity. Pamela looks forward the journey with you.

Pamela Ackerman is retired but worked as a probation officer for over 20 years and specialized in facilitating Restorative Youth Justice Conferences for ten years in the Lower Mainland. She is currently a published author of a fable merged with a true crime story. She has a BA in Psychology, an MA in Leadership & Training (Thesis: Emotional Intelligence for Young Male Offenders), and is a Certified Life Coach.
