Description:

During the Chemical Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine various mixtures and solutions with different chemical properties. They develop solutions to clean up an oil spill, synthesize their own rocket fuel, and investigate the secrets behind color pigmentation.

Notes: Check-in/out Procedures: Students may be dropped off, no earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. In case of early arrival, please stay and supervise your child until they are allowed to be officially checked-in. Please enter the building to check-out your child, and be prepared to show ID (if/when requested). Students should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their scheduled end time. We reserve the right to bill $1 per minute for unsupervised children left with us outside of these 10 minute windows. Cancellation and Absence Policy: All cancellation and change requests must be submitted in writing by emailing us at hubertus@engineeringforkids.net. For fastest service, simply reply to your invoice email. No refunds are given when cancelling 7 or fewer days from the start date of the session. For all approved cancellations, you may choose between either a full account credit or a refund minus a 5% processing fee. By registering, you reserve a seat in our session. As such, EFK is not able to provide a refund or credit for any absence or tardiness that occurs during your scheduled session including those related to illness.
