Drawing and painting from life is fundamental to having great painting experiences. Painting indoors using the alla prima method is perfect preparation for plein air painting outdoors in warmer weather. This fun course focuses on conditions of light to turn forms; on colour hues, values, intensities, temperatures and applications; on edge variations; on arial and linear perspective for depth of planes; and on compositional balances and tensional contrasts. We work with drawing and painting materials. Demonstrations are in oils. This is an open course and an opportunity to work in oils.
