Description:
Join us for our “Helen Stannard Memorial Workshop!” This year, Teaching Artist Marta Scythes, a fellow printmaker and friend of Helen Stannard, will offer “Perspective in Watercolour Landscapes.” 100% of the funds raised will go towards KSOA, and all participants will be eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Helen Stannard was one of the founding members of the KSOA. Helen and her husband, John, were instrumental in storing and then setting up the printmaking studio at KSOA. Their goal was to provide a space for the Kingston printmaking community once St. Lawrence College closed down its visual arts program in 1995. Helen was an exceptional printmaker, with a unique style and palette. All materials are included in this class, but students are invited to bring supplementary supplies.
