This camp is designed for campers who will be starting Grade 6 in September 2024 up to students who are starting Grade 9 in September 2024.

This week is for older campers, giving them the chance to experience how the Theatre Ashbury team produces a musical with a more mature approach to rehearsals, independent work, and production design. Campers will enjoy a week of theatrical training while becoming more confident creating and rehearsing for a musical theatre performance. Campers will be introduced to what it takes to put on a show including acting, singing, dancing, costumes, props, lighting, sound, publicity, and stage makeup. In the Ashbury Theatre, campers will have the opportunity to collaborate in the space while they improve their skills such as voice projection, stage presence, character development, leadership, and much more. Children will be instructed by Ashbury Drama teachers with experience directing large scale productions. The camp culminates in a musical performance live on stage for family and friends on the final day of camp.

Notes: Lunch is included for all summer camp registrations. Our dining room provides healthy and delicious meals with a variety of choices. Special dietary needs are supported by our Food Services team.
